Ellie Tonkin is asking for your help.  Her spouse David is in need of a bone marrow transplant and has thus far been unable to find a perfect match.  Time is of the essence.

A special 2-week on-line drive has been organized to encourage new membership in the National Bone Marrow Registry, and to accomplish the "typing" of new potential donors at no cost to them.  All that is required to become a member of the Registry is a simple cheek swab.  No blood draw is necessary.  Great strides have been made in the area of donating and transplanting bone marrow.  The majority of donations do not involve surgical procedures.  By following the instructions below, you can learn more about how simple it has become to volunteer and possibly save a life.   It would be a dream come true if the expansion of the registry membership benefits our friend and colleague, but this effort will not be in vain if it benefits any of the many people who are in urgent need of a transplant.
