Steve's Digital Darkroom

Up until the 2001 - 2002 season, I shot all my action photography on film. I had already been using a digital camera for public relations photos for a season or two, but I wasn’t happy enough with the quality of digital cameras for my NBA action photography.

Since then, Nikon came out with the D1x. It handled like a regular professional film camera, but had the advantage of being digital . The image quality was better than I was getting from 35mm slide film.

If you have any questions or need advice regarding digital photography or photography in general click here to send me an email:

Click here to see an article that appeared in "PC Photo" magazine in January 2000 that described how I produced my photography at that time

When I decided to start my web site, Basketballphoto.com,  I instituted a nationwide search for the best company to handle the job. By an odd coincidence, the company I chose was owned by my sister, Anna.

As you can see, she does great work. While she can do web sites for most any individual or business, she has particular expertise in dealing with photographers. If you've been intimidated by starting your own site or just don't know where to begin, click on the link below.  I guarantee that you'll be pleasantly surprised at how quickly and inexpensively you can be up and running.

If you're a photographer who wants to show and/or sell your work and/or services, you must have a web site!
